Before I Conformed

When I was younger I always wanted to be a nurse with the cute white outfit and the matching hat.

Now that Halloween is just around the corner I remember my third grade self. There used to be a parade where the dressed up children lined up and walked in a orderly fashioned circle while the parents took pictures. I dressed up as a nurse and I remember feeling so important and so amazing.

In today’s society I think nurses are seen as a lower tier position. Kinda like a teacher. They’re important and influential but underpaid even through all the stressful shit they go through, all the same qualities of being a teacher.

They say that being a teacher or a nurse is quite a fulfilling job. But fulfillment doesn’t pay the bills nor help around the house.

What I wanted to ponder about wasn’t suppose to be a rant, but things don’t always turn out the way they do I guess.

I just want a sign. A signal. Something that will tell me what to do.

I’m quite confused. What will be the right choice? Personally speaking, Disney movies don’t seem to teach children the real values of life: what to be when you grow up, how to stop procrastinating, how to focus on every other thing except love, etc.

I just want to know what is the best way to invest my time, my life, while being happy.

This is my pursuit of happiness.
